Urs Neptun
"a very god cok" Golda Mole
Story[edit | edit source]
Before Cat & Canary[edit | edit source]
Worked as assistant cook for the restaurant chain Francesco Fratelli on the Mars. He was quite famous for his pasta. Quit his job (was actually fired) because his cooking talent was not recognized.
His dream is to cook the best meal in the solar system. So he joined Cat & Company because it was the quickest way for him to get to know new ingredients, recipes and chefs.
At Cat & Canary[edit | edit source]
On his first accompany mission to Zoisite II he saved assisted Lim from flying into the space repairing the highly valuable sensor array of the Apollo. As cook, mechanic and captain in one person he made a good deal with the scientists. On the planet he found some new fascinating ingredients (especially a mushroom cocumber with gills which tasted quite good when roasted) and saw some underground ruins. He snapped a gun from a dead belter, killed by an army of black robodogs. That's why the flight back was a little overstretched.
His second mission was quite unique. Cat & Canary was hired to fly the famous Martian-military-march-metal band Final Frontier Space (Yeah!!) and its roadies and manager to Alec-11 (a strange "planet": in fact a Dyson Sphere. Food with meat is no problem here. Maybe Lim senses a new business opportunity for that). Thanks to his great guidance - Urs B. Neptun was cook and captain of the "Queen fo Sheba" -, the flight went faster than expected. On the planet the Cat & Canary crew had a good time: they went to three awesome concerts, tasted an new recipe and - thanks to Lim - made some extra money by selling some fine equipment to a nervous scientist (Prof. Ling). Oddly enough some of the stuff was black - like the robodogs on Zoisite II.
The third flight went straight back to Alec-11, export some Final Frontier Space merch (mugs, action figures, shirts) and import some fine Tao chicken (and an small mysterious box from Prof. Ling for Daniloah Mera). It was his first flight with the CCS Lakshmi, steered a bit bumpy by Darian Varro. Later at Medina he met his old friend Dish Ubuntu (as a huge fan of Final Fronter Space he was quite interested in the special "boobleg" thermo mug merch) who also joined Cat & Canary.
One of the most exciting missions led to the Crawlers' Red Zone. After months of research, Urs found out that the story about the supposedly deadly radiation was made up by an 'expert' called Varen. So Cat & Canary (besides "Captain Cook" Urs there were Lim, Darian, a new tricky guy called Ryker, the Saare sisters and the camera guy Velazquez) entered the Red Zone to prove the opposite. Make a long story short: they made it! There is no deadly radiation in most part od the 'Red Zone'. Perhaps Medina suffered just a litte bit damage during the measurements, but this wasn't the fault of Cat & Canary. There was this guy, and a button, and an arms depot. Just watch the movie Velazquez made. This will explain everything.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
Some culinary blind belters use the phrase to "urs" something for oversalting or more generally overspicing food.
